Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-01.

This policy describes how Speech Relay handles data.

Service and stored content

Session storage, the retention periods described here, and the deletion controls described here are not yet available. Today no audio or transcript is stored at all.

Speech Relay operates a streaming speech-to-text API and web playground with multi-talker and target-speaker modes.

Account and usage information

We receive an email address and profile identifier from the sign-in provider. A session cookie keeps the user signed in. We keep operational logs and metrics to run and secure the service.

We keep usage records for billing: an account identifier, a project identifier, and the number of audio-seconds processed. These records contain no audio and no transcript text. Deleting stored content does not delete these billing records.

Voice and biometric data are not stored. Enrollment audio for target-speaker mode is used for that session and then discarded, and no derived voiceprint is retained.

We never use customer audio or transcripts to train models. We do not offer a data residency or region guarantee.

Service providers and sub-processors

The current list is published on this site. Account holders will be notified before a new sub-processor begins processing customer content.

Security incidents, account closure, and contact

If Speech Relay becomes aware of a security incident affecting customer content or account information, affected customers will be notified without undue delay.

The service is not for anyone under 18. For privacy or data requests, contact privacy@speechrelay.online. For other questions, contact contact@speechrelay.online.

When an account is closed, stored content is deleted and account information is deleted except for billing records that must be retained as described above.

We may change this policy and will update the effective date when we do.
